What to do this weekend - October 22, 2026
Plus a dispatch from the new kitten bureau.
Hi,
This is my roundup of local events that publishes every Thursday morning. Here's a link to submit events for future posts! The calendar for November and December is pretty light right now, mostly because I haven't had time to fill it out yet. So if you've got stuff happening later this year, send it my way.
In case you missed it, I published a preview of a cool show happening on Sunday at the MusicBox:

This is (probably) your second-to-last reminder about the upcoming midterm elections, which are happening in just under two weeks. Early voting is well underway in Nebraska!
- October 23 (tomorrow!): Deadline for voter registration (in person at your election office)
- October 23 (tomorrow!): Deadline to request your early voting ballot
- November 3: Election Day
About 10% of subscribers to This Week In Lincoln pay for the newsletter. I provide these event roundups and other coverage of local events for free. But I rely on the generosity of readers to keep going. I work as a freelance writer, so every new paid subscriber means I can spend a bit less time on other work and a bit more on making the newsletter better
You'll also get access to subscriber-exclusive posts! Alternatively you can support me on Patreon (and receive a complimentary paid subscription to the newsletter by doing so) or leave a one-time tip.
Here's a special dispatch from the This Week In Lincoln kitten bureau. They are my favorite things in the world right now, even though Tillie is on a villain arc (knocking things over, yelling at all hours, etc):

Thanks for being here! And please share This Week In Lincoln with a friend and help me keeping growing this project.
