What to do this weekend - November 5, 2026
Plus more kitten photos.
Hi,
This is my roundup of local events that publishes every Thursday morning. Here's a link to submit events for future posts!
Unfortunately, this version of the events roundup isn't as complete or fleshed out as I'd like. I had less time than usual this week, mostly because I lost a full workday to jury duty on Tuesday. (You might notice that Tuesday was also election day, and this experience has fully radicalized me into believing that it should be a federal holiday.)
Apologies, but hopefully things will be back to normal next week.
If you're seeing this, that means you're on the free list of newsletter subscribers. That's cool because I do send out a lot of free posts, including all of my arts and culture coverage and these event roundups.
But it does mean you're missing out on stuff like my full election postmortem and other takes about stuff happening in Nebraska! So if you like what I do here please consider becoming a paid supporter.
You'll also get access to subscriber-exclusive posts! Alternatively you can support me on Patreon (and receive a complimentary paid subscription to the newsletter in exchange) or leave a one-time tip.
Your regular dispatch from the This Week In Lincoln kitten bureau:

Please share This Week In Lincoln with a friend and help me keeping growing this project.
Thanks for being here!
