What to do this weekend - March 26, 2026

Hi,

Welcome back to This Week In Lincoln. Or if you're a new subscriber, welcome for the first time.

Every Thursday, I curate a bunch of local events (music shows, art markets, community meetings, book clubs, etc.) that might be worth going to. I especially try to highlight stuff that's free or inexpensive, as well as events you might not otherwise find.

Scroll down to find stuff happening this weekend, next week and later this year. If you go to something and it's awesome, please let me know and I'll take credit! (If you go to something and it sucks, I guess you can still tell me but it's also not my fault.)

Here's a few other things to know:

  • Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the public communication about Saturday's No Kings protest has been a bit confusing. (To be frank, I'm also skeptical that this route will have the same visibility or impact that protesting downtown would — but I'm willing to be proven wrong again!) I wasn't sure whether the organizers intended folks to march along the route or not. But the answer seems to be no. People are just supposed to line up along the trail and sidewalks. Here's the definitive guidance, as far as I can tell:

Got an event you want to see featured in next week's event roundup? Submit it here. You can also send feedback, suggestions, compliments, criticism and ideas for things I should write about to tynanstewart@proton.me

Also, please share the newsletter with your friends! Word of mouth and your recommendation really helps this thing grow.

A reminder that I don't run ads or take sponsorships. This newsletter is 100% reader-supported! All of my income is from freelance writing, so every new paid subscriber means I can spend a little more time making the newsletter better — and less time doing other work.
