What to do this weekend - June 25, 2026

Hi,

Welcome back to This Week In Lincoln. This is my regular Thursday round-up of local events. You can find the event calendar below, but first here's a few other things you should know:

  • Stray By The Bay, a cat cafe that's (hopefully!) opening later this year, is soliciting designs for a T-shirt competition! Submissions are open through July 22, and the logo should include the Stray By The Bay name and reflect their values (cats, coffee, community, coastal vibes). They also won't accept any submissions generated with AI (yay!)
  • The Lincoln DSA is holding their annual convention this Sunday. While you have to be a member to actively participate, anyone is welcome to show up! So if you've been thinking about getting involved, now might a good chance. (The convention will take place 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, Sunday June 28 @ The Foundary - 2nd Floor, 211 N 14th St.)

A reminder that you can submit things for future "What to do this weekend" posts. If you have events in July and August, please tell me about them!

You can also just reach out and say hi. My email is tynanstewart@proton.me

I'm also, regrettably, on Letterboxd, Instagram and Bluesky so follow me there or whatever.

~ Ty

I provide these weekly event roundups as a community service. They are free to everyone and always will be! But they do take a lot of time and effort to produce. If you find my work here valuable, please consider signing up for a paid subscription.

You'll help keep the newsletter sustainable to produce. Plus, becoming a paid supporter will give you access to future installments of The Good Life? column, where I make snarky comments about dumb shit happening in Nebraska.
