What to do this weekend - December 4, 2025
It's cold but not too cold to go do stuff.
Hi,
Welcome back to This Week In Lincoln. I hope everyone had a great holiday! I had plans to go out and do cool stuff over the long weekend, but the weather had different ideas. So I actually just sat inside. Small Business Saturday? It sounded pretty fun! Too bad the roads around my apartment were solid sheets of ice.
Fortunately, there's a ton of events happening this weekend. So many art and vendor markets that I couldn't possibly list them all, but I curated a few of the most promising ones. If you're on the hunt for Christmas or holiday presents with more personality than a gift card, you have options. (Don't sleep on First Friday events either.)
I also wanted to highlight this Saturday's benefit concert and food drive at 1867. There's a $20 cover (cash only), as well as a silent auction and raffle, and all the proceeds will go to support the Everett Free Grocery Program and The Gathering Place. The government shutdown is over, but the Trump administration is still doing its best to actively destroy programs like SNAP. Folks definitely still need support from the community. Come out on Saturday if you can! Doors open at 6 pm and the show starts at 7 pm.
Got an event you want to see featured in next week's event roundup? Submit it here. You can also send feedback, suggestions, compliments, criticism and ideas for things I should write about to tynanstewart@proton.me
